Día de los Reyes Magos is a Christian holiday, honoring the day the three wisemen/kings visited baby Jesus with gifts. While my family is not religious, we celebrate this holiday out of tradition. The holiday also falls on what I call “birthday month”, 3 birthdays in my family are in January.
The poster series was created to highlight the differences and parallels between our birthday month traditions and the Christian holiday traditions.
